Hi, We use 1 1/2inch PVC for the border of the carpet and believe it or for the inside as well. Just use velcro and purchase the Team Losi mini dots and you will have a world class track to call your own. We race indoors and have power so we are really spoiled. I miss 10th scale but prefer the mini z. I just purshased a 12th scale with some other mini Zers to go to the snowbirdnationals in Feb. I miss the big races. Our track stays down which makes it nice and we convert it to an oval to run the cp cup cars (mini z F1 with a nascar body) they are a BLAST and actually have hurt our club because no one want to run anything else....I will get you more info on IamZ........
