Well Spoon my experience with the 2pl is not a good one I'm sure you'll remember me I smashed the 2pl into the wall at the GTG one should not have to shutoff the radio to re-establish connection to car, this radio has always acted sporadic when there was other stronger radios in its vicinity such as an EX10 or 3pk I've shown one racer the effect of their radios by having them place the radio antenna over the miniz and the z was totally useless no steering,throttle at all. This 2pl was also used on my xray m18 and it was the same effect my personal experience with the Futaba 2pl is its junk and it did have fresh batts. The car works excellent with the stock radio but like you I dont like to be constantly switching between cars. Great meeting you guys this weekend(ps looking for an EX10 Helios now)Peace
